Fishing at Windy Lake
The lodge and cabins are located on the shore of beautiful Callahan Lake. This is principally a brook trout camp but there are some northern pike lakes in the area. The brook trout lakes offer some of the best fishing in Northern Ontario, and are accessible by 4 X 4 ATV or hiking trail. We have boats stationed on many lakes. Brook trout season is from January 1st until Sept. 30th. Ice fishing is ideal in the month of March due to the long sunny days.
If river or stream fishing is more to your liking, you are within walking distance of a paradise. Picture a 3 or 4 lb. Brookie clearing the surface while taking your floating fly. Nothing could be more exciting than a huge trout dancing on his tail while you allow him line trying desperately not to lose him.
If pike's your game then install a steel leader, adjust your line drag and brace yourself for a battle.
